ASIA STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 

The theme for ASLC 2026 is “Start A Ripple, Change The Tide”.

This theme centres on the idea that leadership does not always begin with grand gestures, but often with small, intentional actions that spark meaningful change.

“Starting a ripple” represents the courage to take that first step, no matter how small, and to recognise the potential each individual holds to influence others and their environment. Eventually, the ripple grows, expands, and gains momentum. This is where the idea of “changing the tide” comes into play. When small actions are multiplied through collective effort and sustained commitment, they can challenge existing stereotypes, shift mindsets, and create lasting societal impact. At its core, this theme highlights the ripple effect of leadership — how a single act of initiative, compassion, or courage can inspire others and lead to amplified impact over time.

Through this, we hope to empower students to recognise the significance of their actions and to become changemakers who not only start ripples, but ultimately shape the tides of the future.
