CHARITY GALA 

The Smile Asia Charity Gala is an evening of purpose and celebration, bringing together philanthropists, corporate partners and community leaders to support children with facial deformities across Asia. Through fine dining, entertainment and fundraising, the Gala raises vital funds for life-changing surgeries and comprehensive cleft care, while strengthening awareness of Smile Asia’s mission and regional impact.

A key highlight of the Gala is the presentation of the Smile Asia Philanthropic Visionary Award, introduced in 2024 to honour exceptional leaders whose philanthropic efforts have created meaningful impact across communities in Asia. The inaugural award was presented to Her Majesty, Queen Mother of Bhutan, Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck by Singapore’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, in recognition of her work through Tarayana Foundation to support children with facial deformities.

Last year, Singapore Minister of State Ms Gan Siow Huang presented the award to Her Excellency Dr Pich Chanmony, First Lady of Cambodia, for her outstanding humanitarian and philanthropic contributions across Cambodia and the region.
